11 women & 3 children died in sinking of fishing boat in marine waters of Hodeida

11 Women and 3 children died in a boat sinking with 25 people on board in the sea waters separating the coastal Al-Khouba area of Al-Luhiya district and Kamaran Island in Hodeida province.

Sources in the Fisheries Authority told the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) that 11 people survived the accident, which occurred late Monday evening, including six people who were treated and are receiving treatment at the Al-Thawra General Hospital in the province.

The deputy head of the General Authority for Fisheries in the Red Sea, Muhammad Al-Omeisy, and the director of ports and landing centers in the authority, Aziz Attini, inspected the conditions of six survivors, including a child, from the sinking of a fishing boat, a Jalaba type, in the marine waters reaching Kamaran Island, and the level of care and medical services they receive in the hospital.
