Two citizens died, and 22 others were injured, in a mass transport bus accident, at dawn today, in Naqil Damran in the Qubaita District, Lahj province.

The General Director of the Transport Authority Branch in Taiz province, Saeed Al-Wajeeh, told the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) that a mass transport bus carrying 42 passengers, men, women and children, overturned in Naqil Damran at 1:30 a.m., which led to the death of an elderly man and a woman, and the injury of 22 others.

During his visit to the accident site and his inspection of the injured at Al-Rahda Hospital in Taiz, Al-Wajeeh held the aggression countries and mercenaries responsible for the accident, as a result of the cutting, bombing of roads and bridges in various provinces.

Al-Wajeeh called for the establishment of urgent and permanent solutions, and the opening of other outlets that are easier for citizens’ movement of and goods.

For his part, the director of Al-Thawra Hospital in Al-Rahda, Dr. Nabil Al-Hajji, explained that the hospital staff provided the necessary aid to the passengers, most of whom left the hospital while 22 of them are still in critical condition.
