MARIB, 17 people have been killed and four others injured by torrential rains in various parts of Marib province, a medical source said to Saba on Monday.
The medical source added that among the dead people eight children and nine elderly people drowned, except for one case as a result of a thunderstorm.
The source indicated that the dead and injured cases are distributed among the districts of Serwah, al-Jobah, Harrib and al-Wadi, and Marib city.
Marib province is experiencing torrential torrents that causing severe damage to citizens’ homes and farms and displaced more than 1,000 families from their homes.
