The General Administration of Animal Health and Veterinary Quarantine of the Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation destroyed on Monday five tons of veterinary medicines and disinfectants for not conforming to specifications.
Director of animal health, Dr. Ahmed Al-Qudari, told the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) that the destroyed quantity included veterinary drugs and disinfectants that were seized by the committees assigned by the administration within the procedures for controlling and supervising animal health facilities to ensure their compliance with the conditions, standards and technical controls.
He pointed out that the quantity of medicines was destroyed with the participation of the Public Prosecution and Environmental Health Department, after laboratory examination by a specialized team of veterinary quarries.
