The governor of Aden, Tariq Salam, condemned the practices of the occupation forces, mercenaries and their flagrant violations against citizens, merchants and shop owners in Aden.
In a statement to the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), Salam confirmed that the policy of starvation and abuse against citizens in Aden is caused by the occupier, his tools and the destructive policy, which paved the way for the corrupt and mercenaries to clamp down on the citizens and their sources of livelihood.
He pointed out that the occupier's expansionist efforts contributed to provoking chaos, sectarian and regional strife, in addition to supporting mercenary militias with money and weapons, which turned Aden and the occupied provinces into a quagmire of chaos, crime, an arena for tribal and regional wars.
Salam denounced the efforts of the occupation tools to clamp down on citizens, merchants and shop owners by imposing royalties and levies that burdened them, which led to one of the sellers setting himself on fire in Sheikh Othman. As a result of the harassment and arbitrariness by the militias of aggression in Aden.
And he held the occupation forces and their mercenaries responsible for the security chaos that Aden is going through, the complete absence of services, its lack of the most basic necessities of life, and the low standard of living for citizens.
