Afforestation season for year 1444 AH inaugurated in Sa’ada

The Governor of Sa'ada province, Muhammad Jaber Awad, and the Undersecretary for Environmental Affairs, Muhammad al-Badani, inaugurated on Wednesday the afforestation season in the province for the year 1444 AH, which is implemented by the Agriculture Office and the Cleaning and Improvement Fund.

At the inauguration of the season, which aims to plant more than 200,000 fruit and ornamental trees in Sa'ada city streets, sidewalks, gardens, tours, and public parks, in addition to fifteen districts, the governor stressed the importance of afforestation for highlighting the beauty and safety of the environment.

He pointed to the continuation of the offer to replace the Qat tree with two fruit trees, stressing the need for the people of the province to contribute to preserving the environment and promoting awareness among society of the importance of planting trees.

The governor considered the inauguration of the afforestation season a message to the aggression countries that afforestation, natural resources protection, and Yemeni culture development will continue regardless of the challenges.
