The Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for the Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs and International Cooperation, Ibrahim Al-Hamli, met on Sunday, in Hodeida province the Yemeni file official at the German Red Cross, Carolin Kneisel, who is currently visiting Yemen.
During the meeting, which was attended by the Director General of the local organizations and partners in the Council, Abdul Salam Al-Nawab, and the Director of the German Red Cross office in Yemen, Barat Azizov, Al-Hamli pointed out the importance of this visit to see the difficult humanitarian conditions that the Yemeni people are experiencing as a result of the worst humanitarian crisis in the world caused by the aggression and blockade.
He pointed out that there are many Yemenis with kidney failure, which requires the intervention of the German Red Cross to alleviate their suffering by providing medicines, solutions and devices, to save the patients' lives.
He stressed the need to expand interventions in the health sector, and provide more support for renal failure centers, especially in Hodeida.
For her part, Kneisel confirmed that the suffering of patients with kidney failure is great and painful, and she felt this during her visit to the dialysis centers in the governorate, noting that she will work to transfer the suffering of patients to donors to mobilize support.
