Al-Houthi stresses importance of enhancing community partnership to meet citizens’ aspirations

Member of the Supreme Political Council (SPC) and Head of the Supreme Justice System Muhammad al-Houthi affirmed on Sunday the keenness of the revolutionary leadership and the SPC to improve services and meet the citizens' aspirations by enhancing partnership with society to solve the problems and issues that concern them.

As chairing an expanded meeting of the academic, educational, youth and media leaders, businessmen in Ibb province, Al-Houthi talked about the need to strengthen the cooperation to face the current challenges, search for solutions, and not to stop at any obstacles.

He drew attention to the importance of the contribution of the societal elites to raising the popular awareness of the national issues, primarily the economic and security ones and strengthening the steadfastness to face the aggression.

"We want real popular oversight, and we are ready to listen to all opinions, proposals, ideas and positive criticism, which establish a full partnership to improve the level of services provided to the citizens and overcome the challenges ahead," al-Houthi said.

The SPC member discussed the most important challenges resulting from the aggression and the blockade, including not paying the salaries of the State's employees from the country's oil resources, not allowing the arrival of ships loaded with fuel, medicines and basic commodities, and preventing patients from traveling abroad for the treatment purposes.

Al-Houthi stressed the need for everyone to feel the responsibility in serving the country and thecitizens and actively contributing to the process of building, developing and advancing the country.

He added, "We are proud of the people of Ibb and their honorable role in the battle of defending the homeland and their support to the fronts with convoys of money and men and their care for the families of the martyrs, the wounded and the soldiers.

Al-Houthi noted the role of the expatriates from the people of the province in supporting the local development despite the challenges the country faces as a result of the coalition of the aggression's systematic attacks on the State institutions.

He praised the efforts of the province's local authority to provide services for the citizens and address their needs, stressing the community's ability to bring about the local development through the community participation under the management of the local authorities and their executive bodies.

Al-Houthi pointed out the need to strengthen control over the markets to ensure the availability of basic foodstuffs, prevent monopoly, and adhere to the set prices.
