Adviser to the Supreme Political Council Mohammed Hussein Al-Maqdashi confirmed the interest of the Revolutionary leadership and supreme political council to bring about agricultural renaissance in the Tahama plain, within the framework of the comprehensive agricultural revolution to achieve self-sufficiency.
Al-Maqdashi pointed out that during his meeting with the Chairman of the Committee for activating associations and cultivating solid lands in province Hodeida
Abdullah al-Marwani, the revolutionary leadership and the Supreme Political Council hope that the governorate of Hodeidah will be the first to be self-sufficient from what it grow from grain crops.
He drew attention to the enemies’ attempts and endeavours to separate the farmers from his land, replacing them with the crumbs of the organizations.
Al-Maqdashi expressed his pleasure at what he saw during his visit to the governorate from solid land and sand dunes planted with millet crops, one of the most important agricultural in Tahama.
He commended the role of the the Committee for activating associations in revitalizing the role of agricultural associations and exploiting the possibilities available in the cultivation of various agricultural crops.
On his part, the Chairman of the Committee confirmed the completion and reactivation of agricultural cooperative societies in Tahama plain and to support it with all available means to achieve the purpose of its establishment.
