Taiz: The acting governor of Taiz, Ahmed Al-Masawi, has initiated an extensive cleaning campaign in the province’s center and its districts as part of preparations for the upcoming holy month of Ramadan. This initiative is being carried out by the Cleanliness and Improvement Fund, in collaboration with the Works Sector and the Executive Unit.
According to Yemen News Agency, Al-Masawi stated that the campaign’s launch reflects the revolutionary leadership’s directives and the Supreme Political Council’s framework for Ramadan preparations. This effort is also in alignment with the revolution leader, Sayyid Abdulmalik Badr al-Din al-Houthi’s directives to enhance cleanliness and environmental protection.
The acting governor further announced that the current week has been designated as a cleaning week, focusing on neighborhoods, markets, streets, mosques, offices, and other areas. Deputy Governor Abdulwase Al-Shamsi and the director of the Cleanliness and Improvement Fund, Talal Al-Sufi, were present at the launch. Al-Sufi highlighted that this campaign serves as a practical interpretation of the state and government’s directives regarding Ramadan preparations.
Mohammed Ali, the director of the cleanliness project, confirmed the motivation of the cleaners to fulfill their duties during the campaign, particularly with the community’s active participation and support from directors and neighborhood heads. Additionally, Mohammed Al-Hashma, director of the Salah district, explained that the campaign’s commencement in the directorate marks the beginning of cleaning efforts throughout the province’s districts. He encouraged widespread community engagement to achieve the campaign’s objectives.
