President of the Supreme Political Council, Mahdi al-Mashat met Sunday with Leadership of the High Commission for the Supervision of Tenders (HCST) and Auctions headed by Engineer Abdulmalek Al-Arashi.
During the meeting, which was attended by the Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs and Minister of Finance, Dr. Rasheed Abu Luhom President Al-Mashat heard a brief explanation from the President of the Commission, on the main problems and difficulties faced by the Commission and limits its ability to carry out its work as required.
President Al-Mashat noted that, over the past periods, laws had been designed to take into account the interests of certain State enforcers, Enabling them to obtain presumed unlawful privileges. He asserts that this conduct is over, and today there are no special interests except those of the people.
He stressed that the State would observe any executor who sought to tamper with projects and obtain special interests.
President Al-Mashat stressed that any person who submits incorrect project reports or statements to a particular contractor should receive the deterrent penalty would be an example to others.
