Al-Murtadha announces new prisoner exchange deal

Head of the National Committee for Prisoners' Affairs Abdul Qadir Al-Murtadha announced on Sunday an agreement for a new prisoner exchange through the United Nations.

In a statement to Saba, Al-Murtadha explained that the deal included the release of 1,400 prisoners of the army and popular committees, in exchange for the release of 823 from the other side, including 16 Saudi and three Sudanese prisoners, as well as Nasser Mansour Hadi and Mahmoud Al-Subaihi.

He noted that the Committee was awaiting a step of exchange of disclosures on 29 March 2022 as agreed.
