SANA'A January 24. 2024(Saba)- Agriculture and Irrigation Deputy Minister , Dr. Radwan Al-Rubai, discussed with Al-Bayda Governor , Abdullah Idris, today,Wednesday, ways to advance the agricultural sector in Al-Bayda. In the meeting, which was attended by Director of Plant Protection, Ahmed Al-Kol, Al-Bayda Governor indicated that the province has agricultural capabilities and needs support to overcome challenges and achieve self-sufficiency. For his part, the Deputy Minister of Agriculture stressed the importance of activating community initiatives, paying attention to liquidating dams and water barriers, in addition to forming committees for beneficiaries of dams in a way that contributes to serving agricultural development. He stressed the necessity of activating the role of the Agriculture and Irrigation Office in Al-Bayda and establishing cooperative societies to develop the agricultural sector, pointing to the readiness of the Central Finance Unit to intervene to finance agricultural projects in the province, expand the establishment of nurseries, and focus on crops of economic value.
