Member of the Supreme Political Council Sultan Al-Samei met here on Monday with Director of Operations for the Dutch Doctors Without Borders (MSF) in the Middle East Corinne Bozniak and Head of MSF Mission in Yemen Tila Muhammad.
The meeting dealt with the nature of the complex health challenges that the Yemeni people are going through amid the aggression and siege in addition to the efforts made by the organization in Yemen despite the dangers that its cadres are exposed to.
In the meeting, the Supreme Political Council member appreciated the efforts of the MSF and its cadres in performing their humanitarian and health duty towards the Yemeni people.
Al-Samei affirmed readiness to overcome any obstacles that impede the organization’s work and tasks, in a way that enhances its humanitarian efforts in serving the Yemeni people.
For her part, Bozniak stressed the organization’s support to the Yemeni people to face the difficult circumstances they are going through, explaining that the organization’s services currently cover the provinces of Taiz and Hadramout.
“We feel the tragedy that Yemen is going through, so that, we are making our humanitarian efforts to alleviate it, whether through direct intervention in providing medical and treatment services or supporting a number of health centers and hospitals,” she said.
She expressed her aspiration to enhance the joint cooperation to serve the Yemeni people during the current stage.
