Al-Shuhada Foundation inaugurated on Saturday in Sana’a the distribution of meat to a number of families of the martyrs the poorest on the occasion of the anniversary of the prophet’s birth.

During the inauguration, the Governor of Sana’a Abdul Baset al-Hadi praised the efforts of the Martyrs Foundation to serve and care for the children, families and the martyrs’ relatives and the mitigation of their suffering under aggression and siege.

He noted the importance of supporting the families of martyrs as the least duty for the sacrifices of their relatives, who gave their lives in defending the country’s sovereignty and independence.

For his part, the Executive Director of Martyrs Taha Gran Foundation called for attention to be paid to the families of martyrs in honour of their sacrifices in defending of land, presentation and national sovereignty.

He explained that the Foundation shares with the families and sons of martyrs the commemoration of the birth of the Great prophet, distribution of 3,000 sheep ‘meat in its ongoing programmes in the Capital and Governorates Secretariat, and distribution of 850 sheep’ meat to families of martyrs in need in the Capital Secretariat and Sana’a province.

He stated that the Martyrs’ Foundation had distributed food baskets and subsistence to the families of the martyrs.
