HODEIDAH, June 18 (Saba) – The General Authority for Al-Thawra Hospital in Al-Hodeidah Governorate condemned the continued seizure of oil derivatives and the closure of the port of Hodeidah, using them as a card in war against the Yemeni people by the aggression coalition.
The authority confirmed in a statement, Saba got a copy of it, the prevention of entering ships has increased the suffering of the Yemeni people, especially in the health field in light of the spreading of diseases and epidemics, at the forefront of the Coronavirus.
The statement pointed out that health facilities are recently unable to provide their services to citizens and save the lives of thousands due to the lack of oil derivatives.
It also added the hospitals are unable to operate most medical devices, life support devices, and emergency equipment devices, including cooling devices for medical solutions.
The Hospital Authority condemned the silence of the United Nations and international and regional organizations on what millions of Yemenis are exposed to, especially in light of spreading the novel virus.
It noted the detention of oil derivatives will lead to a real humanitarian catastrophe for which the aggression alliance states and the international community bear the responsibility for.
The statement called on the United Nations and the international community to shoulder their responsibilities and carry out their duty by pressing the countries of the aggression alliance to stop these heinous practices against the Yemeni people.
It also called for the speedy release of all oil ships urgently opening the port of Hodeidah because of its importance to save the lives of millions of innocent citizens, stressing that any delay or failure will lead to the loss of lives in many medical cases.
