Attorney General inspects performance of prosecution offices

Attorney General Judge Dr. Muhammad al-Dailami made his fourth field visit to inspect and evaluate the performance of the prosecution offices, in implementation of the directives of the Leader of the Revolution and the Supreme Political Council, to bring justice to the citizens.

During his visit to the Public Prosecution Office, east of the capital, accompanied by Acting Deputy Head of Inspection in the Office of the Public Prosecutor Judge Ali Al-Ansi, the Public Prosecutor was briefed on the Public Prosecution’s records, the registration of cases and the progress of the ongoing investigations in 319 cases.

Al-Dailami emphasized the deputy prosecutor of the Secretariat, Judge Hammoud Ishaq, and the members of the prosecution to play their role in defending rights and raising grievances, and the speedy completion of cases, especially those held by prisoners, as they are urgent. According to Article 470 of the Code of Criminal Procedure.

He stressed strengthening cooperation and coordination with all justice agencies, redoubling efforts and working to address all problems facing the prosecution in enforcing the law and achieving justice.

The Public Prosecutor and the members of the inspection were briefed on the conditions of detainees under investigation, the cases and the investigation records. He also listened to citizens’ complaints and directed them to be dealt with, urging the Public Prosecution to attend the trial sessions.

Al-Dailami emphasized the necessity of entering case data into the criminal case process system, so that the paper records and the case system are identical, and the continuation of the inspection members in the Public Prosecution Office to complete the supervision of the Public Prosecution’s work, take appropriate decisions on late cases, and follow up on prisoners’ cases.
