BEIJING, China's Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs has
announced control of the outbreak of African swine fever in the country.
Ministry spokesman said in a statement quoted by Xinhua that 17 cases of African swine flu i in the first quarter of this year were reported, compared with 74 cases in the fourth quarter of last year.
He added that China has registered 129 cases of African swine fever since the outbreak on the first of August 2018, which led to the death of 1.2 million of pigs.
