SANAA, The Committee on Relations and Foreign Affairs of the House of Representatives on Saturday held a meeting in the capital Sanaa.
The meeting was under the chairmanship of the member of the House of Representatives Bassam al-Shater and in the presence of the competent government side, represented by Ambassador Abdul Ghani al-Saidi and a number of specialists in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The Committee heard replies from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs concerning a number of inquiries and observations made by a number of members of the Committee concerning the functioning of the Ministry, particularly those concerning the issuance of diplomatic and special passports, as well as the procedures for granting and obtaining such passports.
At its meeting, the Committee requested representatives of the Government to provide them with more details on some of those replies.
The committee also listened to the representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to clarify the difficulties facing the ministry's work, especially in light of the exceptional circumstances experienced by Yemen as a result of the continuation of the US-backed saudi-led aggression coalition's war and the siege for nearly four years imposed on country, including the absence of an operating budget.
