SANAA, President of the Supreme Political Council Mahdi al-Mashat on Thursday said the conduct of the elections is a great democratic achievement for Yemenis.
"Conducting the elections embodies the state's keenness and commitment to pursue the constitution and the law to promote democracy in Yemen," the president added during his meeting with Chairman and members of the Supreme Committee for Elections and Referendum (SCER).

The president praised the organizing, fairness and transparency that accompanied the process of voting in the elections, which was observed by 45 local, Arab and international organizations.
At the end of the meeting, President al-Mashat honored chairman and members of the SCER in recognition of their great efforts to make the elections successful.
