SANAA, The Higher Committee for Elections and Referendum (HCER) on Thursday held a consultative meeting for the directors of the branches of the Committee in the capital and rest of provinces, in which will be elections for filling the vacant seats in 2019.
In the meeting, the head of the Higher Committee for Elections and Referendum, Judge Mohammed al-Salami, stressed the importance of the elections of vacant seats in the House of Representatives according to the Constitution and the law and in accordance with the procedures governing the electoral process.
Al-Salami stressed the need to resolve any problems or difficulties that may hinder or obstruct the work of the branches of the Higher Committee for Elections,referring to the measures taken by the Committee to grant the success of elections.
At the meeting, the head of the Legal Affairs and Justice Department, Ali al-Saamit, pointed out the need for the heads of branches of the committee, the supervisory and original committees and the committees of the funds to manage the electoral process according to the electoral law governing the electoral process.
In turn, Head of the technical affairs in the committee, Judge Ghaleb Thabet Mohammed Salah, that the Committee is working to provide all the necessary technical equipment to conduct the electoral process and complete the branches' equipment to ensure the conduct of the electoral process in all stages without any hindrance.
