SANAA, Minister of Culture in the National Salvation Government Abdullah al-Kibsi on Wednesday met in Sanaa with the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) Representative in Yemen Anjali Sen.

In the meeting, al-Kibsi briefed the UNFPA representative on the cultural situation in Yemen; reviewing the damage caused to the historical sites and monuments in Yemen whether by Saudi-led coalition's direct bombing or terrorist organizations.

The Minister also discussed aspects of the possible cooperation between the ministry and the Fund, especially in the field of supporting Yemeni women's centers for handicrafts and arts works.

For her part, UNFPA representative expressed her interest in the cultural aspect and her hoping for coop cooperation between the Fund and the Culture Ministry.
