Minister of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship, Ahmed Hanandeh and General Manager of CRIF Jordan, a business information platform, Ahmed Amoudi, on Thursday signed a cooperation agreement to launch inter-government interconnection services. According to a ministry statement, the agreement aims to provide the credit report to citizens on "Sanad" application, through their digital ID, aimed to facilitate citizens' transactions, especially Jordanians residing outside the capital, Amman, who need to complete their credit transactions with financing institutions, or meet other operations' requirements for various purposes, primarily trade credit processes. Speaking at the signing ceremony, Hanandeh said this service, which will be launched in the coming days, aims to strengthen the "participatory" policy between the public and private sectors, to achieve the citizens' interest and constitutes an "important" step to developing digital services provided to Jordanians. The minister added that the service would allow citizens to obtain their credit report in "simple and quick" steps, after activating digital ID on Sanad app to verify the applicant's identity to meet service requirements, in accordance with the governing legislation. On its nature, the minister noted this service is a "new" addition to the series of digital services launched by the government on Sanad app, based on its commitment to providing "vital" services to citizens and improving the Kingdom's life quality. For his part, Amoudi said this service reflects extent of CRIF Jordan's commitment to providing tools to facilitate access to financing services, in support of the efforts made within the framework of the National Strategy for Financial Inclusion. Amoudi added that CRIF Jordan started in 2022 by providing the digital credit report to bank customers through e-banking channels.
