A meeting in Sana’a today, on Monday, chaired by the Minister of Electricity and Energy, Dr. Muhammad Ahmed Al-Bakhiti, discussed the mechanism for implementing the ministry’s projects during the coming period of this year.

The meeting touched upon, in the presence of the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Electricity for Financial and Administrative Affairs Taqi Al-Din Al-Mutaa, the Assistant Undersecretary for the Projects Sector, Engineer Ahmed Al-Mutawakil, the Chairman of the Generators Committee Ali Aziz, the deputies of the Director of the Electricity Corporation Abdullah Rabeed, the Engineer Muhammad Al-Shaibani, the Engineer Ismail Taher Muhammad, and the Executive Director of the General Corporation for Electrical Industries and Energy Abdul Aziz Al-Shamiri. To the projects and plans of the ministry during the next quarter of this year.

He stressed the preparation of reports on the projects to be implemented, and submitting them during the specified period, in order to ensure the implementation of the Ministry’s plans, which depend on the networking of the Ministry’s office.

Dr. Al-Bakhiti indicated that the ministry is in the process of preparing an integrated electronic system to organize the ministry’s work and projects, and the establishment of a website that highlights the ministry’s activities in all fields.

He pointed out the need to prepare a billing system for the Electricity Activities Council, update the secretariat program, activate follow-up systems, evaluate projects and institutional and functional performance in the ministry and its affiliates, and update strategic studies of national energy needs.
