Dr. Abu Lahoum meets with Transport Minister, Head of Red Sea Ports Foundation

Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs and Minister of Finance Rashid Abu Lahoum on Monday met with Minister of Transport Abdulwahab Al-Durra and Head of Yemen's Red Sea Ports Foundation Captain Mohammed Isaac.

During the meeting, a number of topics related to the work of the Foundation were discussed and ways of supporting it to implement the plans approved for the current year, and the Foundation's efforts to re reception of container vessels through the port of Hodeida.

During the meeting, the Deputy Prime Minister stressed the need to support the Red Sea Ports Foundation to enable it to perform its functions in organizing and operating shipping through the port of Hodeida.

He noted the importance of the port of Hodeida in serving the population density in a number of governorates. The Ministry of Transport and the Ports Foundation's endeavor to re reception container vessels through the port of Hodeida will contribute to alleviating the burden of the citizen in the main.

Dr. Abu Lahoum praised the performance of the Foundation over the past period and its leadership for continuing work despite the difficulties encountered, which reached the direct targeting of the port by the aggression.

In turn, the Minister of Transport confirmed the interest and concern of the Ministry of Transport with the Red Sea Ports Foundation and the humanitarian services it provides to the majority of Yemen's population.

The port of Hodeida was working around the clock to meet the needs of the Yemeni people, although most of the equipment had been interrupted by the bombing and destruction of it by the aggression in order to disrupt the port's navigational traffic.

The President of the Red Sea Ports Foundation noted that the Foundation's ports had been systematically destroyed by aggression, but continued to provide efficient and professional humanitarian navigation services.

Isaac pointed out that all employees of the Foundation and its ports work in a team spirit despite the difficulties and challenges resulting from the targeting of equipment, mechanisms and devices.
