SANAA, An emergency meeting of the United Nations organizations working in Yemen was held on Monday to discuss the new crime committed on Sunday by the warplanes of US-backed aggression coalition against the students of al-Raee school in the residential neighborhood of Sawan, capital Sanaa.
At the meeting, the head of the National Authority for the Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Response Dr. Qassem Abbas stressed the international community's bias towards the aggressors despite the grave violations, massacres and the worsening humanitarian situation due to the continued aggression and unjust siege imposed on Yemen by the US-saudi-led coalition.
Abbas called on international and human rights organizations working in Yemen to condemn this crime and not to remain silent about the war crimes committed by the Yemeni people, especially women and children.
For his part, Undersecretary of the Authority, Majid Ezzan, said that the continuation of the aggression's states in the genocide of civilians for the fifth year is a disgrace to humanity and the international community who keep silent toward the war crimes committed against women and children in Yemen.
The meeting also discussed ways to deal with the emergency situation of the cholera epidemic and the need for urgent intervention by the organizations and the responsibility to provide citizens with hygiene and chlorine in the face of the cholera epidemic and reduce its spread.
He stressed the importance of government coordination on the one hand and with the international organizations concerned on the other hand to confront and contain this epidemic and intensify awareness-raising activities through all available means.
