Endowments Authority: Cultivation of about 1 million square meters of endowment lands

Head of the general authority for endowments Abdulmajeed al-Houthi revealed on Thuresday that nearly one million square meters of endowment lands have been cultivated for the production of agricultural crops in various provinces.

Al-Houthi stressed the authority, based on the directives of the leader of the revolution, Sayyed Abdulmalik al-Houthi and the President of the Supreme Political Council, is paying attention to the agricultural sector and cultivating grain crops, contributed to the cultivation of non-rented and uncultivated land endowment lands for the production of agricultural crops.

He pointed out that the authority’s orientation to cultivate endowment lands translates the directions of the state and the government in promoting the agricultural sector to achieve food security and reach self-sufficiency.

The head of the endowments authority stated that the authority, through its offices, supported the cultivation of approximately 408,597 square meters of land in Sa’ada province and 185,000 square meters in Hodeida province as well as the cultivation of 228,000 square meters in Dhamar, 108,000 square meters in Ibb province and 14,175 square meters of land in Taiz province.

Al-Houthi also affirmed the authority’s support for the efforts of its offices in cultivating uncultivated endowment lands in a way that benefits and contributes to raising the production of food crops, especially grains, to contribute to achieving food security in light of the continued aggression and siege.
