Entisaf Condemns Saudi Attacks on Yemeni Civilian Infrastructure

Sana'a:Entisaf Organization for Women and Child Rights has condemned the targeting of civilian, industrial, and telecommunications facilities in Sana'a and Sa'ada by Saudi forces. These attacks have resulted in injuries to several civilians, including women and children.

According to Yemen News Agency, Entisaf highlighted that the strikes on commercial, industrial, and telecommunications infrastructure raise significant concerns about civilian safety and the extent of human and material damage caused by this escalation.

The organization noted that direct shelling on a foam factory resulted in injuries to women and children, impacting local livelihoods and degrading essential infrastructure. This exacerbates the ongoing humanitarian and economic crisis in Yemen.

Entisaf stressed the importance of adhering to international humanitarian law, which protects civilian objects and prohibits targeting them. Violations of these norms constitute serious breaches of the law and demand strict adherence to principles of distinction and proportionality to avoid civilian harm.

The organization warned of the long-term repercussions of such attacks, which reduce employment, disrupt incomes, and limit access to essential services. Women and children are particularly affected by the conflict, blockade, and deteriorating living conditions, threatening their rights to life and security.

Entisaf called on the United Nations, international community, and human rights bodies to take urgent action to end the Saudi-led aggression and blockade, protect civilian infrastructure, and enforce compliance with international humanitarian law. They urged world powers to implement practical measures to ensure accountability for these violations.
