Member of the Supreme Political Council, Muhammad Saleh Al-Nuaimi, chaired a meeting held Wednesday in Sana'a discussed the executive procedures for providing basic services and humanitarian aid, and the requirements for the reconstruction of what was destroyed by the aggression in Al-Durayhimi District of Hodeida province.
The meeting reviewed the matrix of projects of roads, electricity, water, health, education, telecommunications, and reconstruction, and the provision of required and urgent humanitarian aid to Al-Durayhimi district.
Al-Nuaimi stressed the necessity of setting determinants and time-bound executive procedures to accomplish the tasks and work entrusted to each party, and determining the budgets required for providing the necessary services to citizens in the city of Al-Durayhimi.
The meeting approved that the General Authority for Zakat provided the required assistance to 200 affected families in Al-Durayhimi city as a first stage in the framework of the reconstruction, as well as providing support to the executive center for dealing with mines to contribute to clearing the district and its surroundings of mines, cluster bombs and other remnants of the aggression.
The outcomes of the meeting included that the Ministry of Finance provided the province with the amount allocated for the implementation of Al-Durayhimi-Lawiyah road, the Ministry of Water and Environment rehabilitates and completes the water network in the city, and the Supreme Council for Humanitarian Affairs provides solar energy systems for three water wells.
The meeting emphasized that the Ministry of Electricity should complete the network connection to the city of Al-Durayhimi, rehabilitate and repair the damage caused to the electricity network as a result of the aggression, and assign a technical team from the Ministry to assess the need and provide the required funds for work.
The outcomes also included that the Ministry of Education provides furniture for the district's schools, and that the local authority in the province restore the damaged schools, while the Social Fund for Development reconstructs the damaged schools.
The meeting also approved that the Ministry of Public Health and Population would complete the rehabilitation of the rural hospital in the district, provide its medical and treatment supplies, and operate it within two weeks, while The Ministry of Telecommunications and Information Technology would complete the fiber-optic cable and follow up on telecom companies to provide their services, while the Supreme Council for Humanitarian Affairs is in charge of searching for funds to complete the reconstruction.
