A medical team of the Republican Hospital Authority in Hajjah province, headed by consultant neurosurgeon and spine, Dr. Ali Ja’far, was able from performing complex surgery to extract a gunshot from a girl’s spinal cord.

President of the Republican Hospital Authority Dr. Ibrahim Al-Ashual explained on Friday to Yemen News Agency (Saba) The process considered a qualitative process was successful and the 15-year-old girl is began recovering despite the seriousness of the injury.

Dr. Ja’far pointed out that the operation was conducted two days ago, it was the extraction of a gunshot from the spinal cord (inside the neural roots at the level of the fourth and fifth cotton paragraphs).
