First national team participates in Gulf 25 in Iraq

The first national football team will participate in the 25th Gulf Cup, which will be hosted by the Iraqi city of Basra, from January 6-19, 2023.

The Big Red is competing in the tournament in Group A alongside the teams: Iraq, Oman and Saudi Arabia, where it will play its first match next Friday against the Saudi national team, after the opening match that will bring together Iraq and Oman.

The national team has been involved in an external camp in Egypt led by Czech coach Miroslav Skop and his assistant national coach Mohamed Al-Zuraiki since last November 24, during which he played six test matches with Egyptian clubs in the second division.
