Fisheries Ministry mocked the lies of the channels and trumpets of the aggression forces of those marine mines scattered in fishing areas, which were intended by traditional fishermen, were behind the killing and wounding of dozens of them.
The ministry confirmed in a statement - received today by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) - that the real danger to fishermen and their dependents, who amount to tens of thousands of families, is preventing them from sailing more than 20 km after they used to sail for a distance of 100 nautical miles (185 km) in many fishing areas in the Red Sea.
The statement denounced all these allegations, which are promoted by the aggression channels, explaining that they come within the framework of the false media campaign launched by the aggression forces against Yemen, with the aim of justifying its crimes, its collaborative tools, and their continuous violations against innocent civilians.
He touched on the violations and crimes that the fishermen were subjected to throughout the aggression years, as the coalition’s warplanes and warships carried out 291 direct targeting of the fishing sector, which resulted in killing 273 fishermen and the injury of 211 others, in addition to the continued dredging of fish wealth and industrial fishing along Bahrain coasts Al-Ahmar and Al-Arabi, in full view of the mercenary authorities.
The Ministry considered these crimes an extension of the flagrant violations committed by the aggression forces and their mercenaries against the people and fishermen in different regions of Yemen.
It urged the international community to take immediate action to stop the aggression and end the unjust blockade imposed by the aggression on Yemen, which is causing the suffering of the Yemeni people and the deterioration of the humanitarian situation in the country.
