Minister of Foreign Affairs Hisham Sharaf sent on Tuesday a cable to Minister of External Affairs of the friendly Government of India Subrahmanyam Jaishankar.

In the cable, Foreign Minister expressed the appreciation of the Government of National Salvation and the Yemeni people to the Indian government for its decision to exempt Yemen from the ban which imposed on exporting wheat abroad because of the backdrop of the Ukrainian crisis.

Sharaf affirmed that the decision is appreciated and cherished by all Yemeni people and will reflect positively on the bilateral relations between the two friendly countries.
