Foreign Minister Hisham Sharaf met Tuesday, Chairman of the Political and Foreign Relations Committee of the Shura Council, Engineer Lutf Al-Jarmouzi, and a number of members of the Committee.
The meeting comes within the framework of periodic meetings between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Shura Council to coordinate efforts in particular related to confronting aggression.
At the meeting, the Minister for Foreign Affairs confirmed that, despite the political blockade, the Ministry had been able to convey the injustice of the Yemeni people and debunking the aggression coalition’s allegations and exposing the truth of its agenda to the international community.
He noted that, after nearly eight years of aggression and siege, Sana ‘a’s position continued to be a pretext for peace from the position of power and capacity and with the people standing by their leadership.
“Entering into peace and reaching a comprehensive political settlement requires separating the humanitarian profile from the military and political files, and take humanitarian steps to alleviate the suffering of the Yemeni people, including the opening of Sana’a airport without any conditions, the entry into the port of Hodeida of vessels loaded with petroleum derivatives, domestic gas and goods and the payment of salaries to all State officials shall not be impeded “.
The Minister considered those steps to be human rights and not preconditions, as echoed by the Coalition of Aggression and those in its orbit.
For his part, the Chairman of the Political and Foreign Relations Committee of the Consultative Council and members of the Committee commended the efforts of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs The efforts of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs despite the embargo and obstacles to its work.
Subsequently, an interactive dialogue was held between the members of the Political and Foreign Relations Committee of the Consultative Council and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ Group of Financial and Administrative Affairs and Heads of Departments of the Ministry on issues of mutual interest.
