Foreign Minister Hisham Sharaf discussed in Sana'a on Wednesday with World Food Program (WFP)'s Executive Director David Beasley, who is currently visiting Yemen, aspects of cooperation between Yemen and the program in the humanitarian field.
The meeting touched on the risks and repercussions of the economic war practiced by the US-Saudi-led aggression countries through targeting citizens and vital facilities and practicing a systematic policy of starvation by preventing the access of oil derivatives and domestic gas to the port of Hodeida.
In the meeting, Sharaf noted that such an important visit of an international persona to Yemen is a call for peace addressed to all by explaining the suffering of the Yemeni people in various fields.
In return, Beasley confirmed the WFP's keenness to provide possible assistance to the Yemeni people who are going through unprecedented suffering.
