SANAA, Foreign Minister Hisham Sharaf on Wednesday discussed in Sanaa with UN Resident Coordinator Lise Grande efforts to enhance the humanitarian work to ensure the continuous flow of aid to the targeted without hindrance.
In the meeting, Sharaf confirmed that the national authorities in Sanaa are keen to provide all aspects of support and cooperation and necessary facilitates for the UN organizations, programs and offices working in the country.
The minister indicated to the continuation of the policy of starvation and the all-out siege used by "the aggression countries and its mercenaries" as a weapon of war against the Yemeni people, in an explicit violation of all human rights treaties and conventions and laws of war.
For her part, Grande affirmed that the humanitarian situation in Yemen is occupying a priority in the work of the United Nations and that she works to alleviate the human suffering of Yemeni citizens.
