SANAA, Foreign Minister Hisham Sharaf on Wednesday called on the international organizations and relief agencies operating in Yemen to intensify their efforts, especially in the humanitarian field.
This came during his meeting in Sanaa with the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA)'s Director for the Middle East and North Africa George Khoury.
In the meeting, Sharaf stressed the importance of observing urgent priorities regarding the humanitarian action to alleviate the scale of the suffering and humanitarian catastrophe experienced by the Yemeni people as a result of the aggression.
He reaffirmed the National Salvation Government's keenness to facilitate the work of the international organizations and their employees.
For his part, Khoury confirmed the United Nations' commitment to work hard and transparent in various humanitarian aspects in coordination with the competent national authorities to alleviate the suffering of Yemenis.
