Foreign Ministry condemns terrorist act targeted hotel in Somali capital

An official source at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned the terrorist act that targeted a hotel in the Somali capital, Mogadishu, and killed a number of civilians.

The official confirmed, in a statement to Yemeni News Agency (Saba), that targeting civilian gathering places violates religious teachings, morals, norms and human values.

The official expressed the solidarity of the National Salvation Government in Sana'a with the Somali government in the face of terrorism and terrorists.

He pointed out that the terrorism phenomenon and terrorist acts are rejected in all their forms, manifestations, denounced, and at the same time represent one of the most serious threats to international peace and security.

The official also stressed the importance of bringing perpetrators, organizers, financiers and supporters of terrorist acts to justice. He said: "Terrorism and extremism do not recognize time and place. Their goal is to destroy societies and negatively affect their social fabric."
