ACCRA-- James Kwesi Appiah, the head coach of the Black Stars, has named a 21-man squad for Ghana's 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Kenya in Nairobi next month.

Inter Milan player Kwadwo Asamoah makes a return to the Ghanaian senior men's football team team after a long absence, while William Owusu has been handed his first call up to the team.

The Black Stars will gather in camp in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, from Sept 3 to 7 ahead of the match in Nairobi on Sep 8.

The players named for the match are:
