A meeting in the capital Sana’a was held on Sunday chaired by Deputy Prime Minister for Defense and Security Affairs Lieut.Gen. Jalal al-Ruwaishan discussed the matrix of government measures to combat drugs.
The meeting, which was attended by Deputy Director General of Anti-Narcotics Brigadier Fatek al-Shamsi, touched on the roles required of government agencies to support anti-drug work.
The meeting stressed that the countries of aggression and mercenaries were not satisfied with the military war and siege, but were accompanied by conspiracies with multiple faces and methods, including the dissemination and facilitation of the entry of drugs into the free provinces with the aim of corrupting the conservative Yemeni society.
Attendees stressed the importance of raising awareness of the dangers of drug spread, bringing society to a high level of awareness and insight, adhering to the faith identity, principles and morals, and thwarting the enemies’ plans to spread corruption and vices after its military failure in the fields of pride and dignity.
