SANAA, The Secretary-General of the Higher Committee for Elections and Referendum (HCER) Mohammed al-Jalal on Thursday said that the Committee is moving ahead toward holding the parliamentary elections in vacant constituencies by the date set on April 13 next.

Al-Jalal said in a brief interview with the Saba news agency that the process of submitting candidacy applications to vacant seats in parliament proceeded in accordance with the law and the timetable, indicating that the popular interaction during this stage was high and positive, despite the US-saudi aggression coalition's attack on Yemen and the unjust siege imposed by their troops on country.

He pointed out that the Yemeni people convey, through their positive interaction, a message to the world that they will exercise their constitutional and legal right even under aggression and no one will be able to deprive them of this right.
