The heavy rains witnessed by Marib province on Monday caused damage to the farms and properties of citizens and the roads in Harib Al-Qaramish and Serwah districts.

A local source in the province told the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) that the flow of torrents from a number of valleys and hills resulted in the washing away of dozens of farms, the land filling of wells, solar energy systems and hand pumps, the demolition of houses, the erosion of sub-ways and main roads, and the death of sheep and livestock.

Citizens appealed to the competent authorities to provide equipment to protect agricultural lands, open corridors for rain floods, and maintain damaged roads.
