House of Representatives discusses bill to exempt pharmaceutical industry inputs from taxes

SANAA, The House of Representatives, in its session on Sunday chaired by the House's Speaker Yahya al-Ra'I, began to discuss a bill to exempt pharmaceutical industry inputs from taxes. In the session, the House members reviewed the report of the Financial Affairs Committee on Law No. (19) of 2001 regarding the general sales tax and its amendments. The report referred to the explanations and justifications contained in the explanatory draft of the bill on the government's request to exempt inputs of the locally produced medicines from sales tax.
