SANAA, The House of Representatives heard in its session today, chaired by Speaker of the House of Representatives Yahya Al-Ra'i, the explanatory memorandum for a draft law on the establishment of a fund to support and develop public education.
At the meeting attended by the Minister of State for the House and Shura Council Affairs, Dr. Ali Abdullah Abu Hleika, al-Ra'i stressed the importance of supporting education through the establishment of a fund to support and develop public education.
He noted the efforts exerted in this direction, especially in view of the current situation in the country as a result of the continued aggression and siege imposed by the US-backed saudi-led coalition on country.
Al-Ra'i pointed out that the support and continuation of the educational process is a strong resistance front in the face of aggression and everyone should unite and cooperate to support the teacher and the educational process in general.
For his part, praised the Minister of Education, Yahya al-Huthi, the efforts of members of the House of Representatives through its various committees to support the educational process and other issues of interest to the community.
He reviewed the explanatory memorandum on the draft law establishing the Fund for the support and development of public education, the justification and the circumstances of the establishment of the Fund.
He said that this explanatory memorandum includes the budgets that were adopted for general education and the challenges facing the ministry and its estimated cost, projects and programs aimed at achieving.
The explanatory memorandum referred to the responsibility of the ministry to enable students to achieve their right to education, and the urgent need to support and support the parliament and government on this aspect.
The House of Representatives passed the explanatory memorandum and draft law to the Education Committee for study and report on it.
It had started its session by reviewing its previous minute and approved it and will continue to hold its meetings on Sunday, God willing.
