Human Rights Groups Condemn Deadly Saudi Airstrike on Bus in Taiz

Taiz:A Saudi airstrike targeted a passenger bus on the road between Al-Turbah and Sharjab, resulting in the deaths of two civilians and injuries to seven others.

According to Yemen News Agency, the Ain Al-Insaniya Human Rights and Development Center and the Taiz Rights and Freedoms Network condemned the attack. The bus was reportedly transporting a woman suffering from a stroke. The airstrike led to the deaths of a young man and a woman, as well as a miscarriage by a pregnant woman on board.

The organizations described the attack as a severe violation of international humanitarian law and held Saudi Arabia fully responsible. They called on the United Nations and international human rights organizations to ensure accountability for those responsible for the attack.

The statement emphasized that targeting civilians and civilian infrastructure, such as public transport and roads, cannot be justified under any circumstances.
