Ibb: A meeting in Ibb Governorate, chaired by Deputy Governor Qasim Al-Masawi, discussed the role and efforts of the Ibb Rural Multipurpose Cooperative Society in achieving local development. The meeting was attended by the coordinator of the Banyan Foundation in the governorate, Naji Jassar, along with officials and members of the association's committees from the Jabal Ma'ud, Shaab Yafa', and Al-Hawj Al-Qabli districts in the Ibb Rural District. The discussions focused on the tasks of the field committees to enhance community awareness and activate the association's work to benefit the district and its residents.
According to Yemen News Agency, during the meeting, the Deputy Governor highlighted the significant role played by multipurpose cooperative societies in advancing development within the agricultural, service, and development sectors. He stressed the importance of unifying both official and community efforts to capitalize on natural resources and to encourage cooperative and voluntary work. The Deputy Governor also expressed the local authority's commitment to providing necessary support and addressing any challenges faced by the society.
Additionally, the Banyan Foundation coordinator presented the development work strategy for the upcoming phase, aimed at delivering services to citizens. He urged the association's administrative body to meet its responsibilities in this endeavor, emphasizing the importance of their role in the community's development initiatives.
