The Office of Industry and Commerce in the Capital Sana’a on Wednesday closed a honey production Lab and a store affiliated to it for violating specifications and standards.
Director of the Industry and Trade Office Majid al-Sada said that the office closed the Lab in al-Sabeen district as a result of violating specifications and standards and falsifying product data related to the country of origin.
Al-Sada pointed out that the control and inspection teams have seized the seized quantity and samples will be taken from the Authority for Standardization and Metrology to complete the necessary procedures, pointing out that the office continues to implement the control to ensure the compliance of industrial facilities and laboratories with specifications and quality.
Deputy Director of the Office and Director of the Industrial Control Department Mohammed al-Sufyani stressed the keenness to control factories and laboratories that violate laws, regulations and requirements in order to preserve the health and safety of consumers.
