Taiz, Minister of Information Daifallah Al-Shami briefed on Wednesday on the progress of the work of Radio Taiz and its special radio programs related to confronting the US-saudi-backed aggression coalition and its misleading campaigns.
During the visit, Minister al-Shami listened to an explanation from the Radio director Faisal al-Haj on the radio activity and the difficulties facing the work.
Haj pointed to the damage caused to the radio by the bombing of the Air Force for radio stations in Al - Arous Fort in Jabal Sabr and the center of transmission in Hoban and the looting and destruction of studio buildings in the area of Thaabat by the coalition mercenaries, pointing to the efforts made to resume broadcasting on Taiz radio.
The Minister of Information praised the role played by Radio Taiz as one of the oldest local radio stations, which was launched in 1964 despite the scarcity of possibilities.
He stressed the importance of the role of the radios especially in light of the current situation that the country is going through as a result of the continued aggression in raising awareness and education and mobilizing efforts and energies in confronting the aggression and uncovering its plans that target Yemen land and humanity.
Al-Shami pointed out that the national media represent a front against the aggression and its campaigns of misinformation, pointing out that the targeting of media by aggression is contrary to all international norms and covenants.
The Information Minister noted the great role played by the radio workers who are currently working to resume broadcasting and the continuation of radio work.
