Insan organization condemns continued Saudi regime crimes in border areas

Insan Organization for Rights and Liberties condemned the continuation of the Saudi Border Guard forces’ crimes and violations in a continuous and heinous manner against Yemenis and African immigrants.

The organization indicated that the Saudi border guards targeted, last Friday, a group of Ethiopian immigrants and Yemeni migrant workers on the Yemeni-Saudi border.

The statement emphasized that the organization is working with all partners to monitor all crimes and violations, assist the victims in a professional ,humane manner, and communicate their grievances to the concerned authorities.

It urged local and international organizations to condemn and denounce these crimes and hold the perpetrators accountable, calling on the Saudi authorities to put an end to these crimes, which are considered crimes against humanity in accordance with the four Geneva Conventions and their protocols, which represent the essence of international humanitarian law and covenants and treaties for the protection of migrant workers.

The statement also called on the international community and the Secretary-General of the UN to take immediate and urgent measures to put pressure on the Saudi authorities and push them to respect and implement their commitments to abide by international humanitarian charters and treaties and norms.
