A meeting in Hajjah held on Monday and discussed the interventions of the Norwegian Council in the province during the coming period.

The meeting, which included director of the branch of the Supreme Council for the Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs in the province Alan Fadhayel, and officials of legal aid in the Norwegian Council in Yemen, Izzat Allah Raji, and office of Hajjah Ali al-Khamisi, reviewed the plan of the council's interventions in the field of legal aid and protection during the next stage.

In the meeting, Fadhayel indicated that the aggravation of the humanitarian suffering of the people of Hajjah as a result of the continuation of the current situation and the increase in the number of displaced families to 85,000 displaced families by 2022 has become an urgent need for a serious approach by humanitarian partners to cover the aspects of need.

He affirmed the readiness of the leadership of the province and the Supreme Council to provide the necessary facilities to implement the activities and interventions of humanitarian partners to alleviate the suffering of citizens.

He pointed out the importance of expanding the interventions by granting the personal cards of the displaced and the affected, and working to support the displaced and the poorest of the affected districts to alleviate their suffering and to provide the Council branch with the periodic and final reports of the implemented projects.

For his part, the Legal Aid Officer at the Norwegian Council valued the facilities provided to implement activities and interventions, pointing out that the purpose of the visit is to get acquainted with the difficulties and challenges in the humanitarian aspects, the nature of support and the need required to intervene in it.
